Something Has to Change

Some chapters don't end the way we planned. A relationship falls apart. A loss arrives without warning. Work becomes unbearable. You find yourself waking up each morning with a weight you can't quite name, moving through days that feel like they belong to someone else's life.

You've probably tried to push through it. You've told yourself it'll pass, that you're fine, that other people have it worse. But the anxiety keeps coming back. The grief hasn't moved. The version of yourself you're waiting to return to isn't showing up.

Counselling isn't about having it together before you walk in. It's about finally having a place to not have to.

What Is Counselling, and Is It Right for You?

Counselling is a collaborative process where you work with a trained clinician to understand your patterns, process your experiences, and build new ways of responding to what life brings. It's not advice-giving, and it's not crisis management, though it can help with both.

Good counselling meets you where you are. It's most helpful for people navigating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, life transitions, and the quieter struggles that don't have an obvious name.

A Counsellor Who Understands from the Inside

Paige Mathison is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and over 10 years of experience as a psychiatric nurse, before transitioning to full-time private practice. That clinical background shapes everything: she understands how bodies hold stress, how institutions affect mental health, and what it actually takes to help someone shift, not just cope.

Her approach is warm, grounded, and clinically rigorous. She draws on somatic experiencing, trauma-informed practice, and strength-based methods, always tailoring the work to the person in front of her.

Paige works with individuals navigating trauma, PTSD, anxiety, grief, ADHD, and major life transitions. She also offers specialized support for healthcare workers and first responders. Learn more about Paige's background and credentials.
